Memorial Medical Center Updates Community Members on Progress of Strategic Plan

-Memorial Medical Center held a meeting providing updates on the progress made in regards to their strategic plan.About 2.5 years ago, business owners, citizens, organization leaders and more got together to discuss what they'd like to see changed at Memorial Medical Center. MMC has done many things to address those issues. Their staffing is up 64%, they established new relationships with other businesses/communities/organizations, they've added QucikMeds machines, started offering spiritual services and they've revamped their billing and much more.
Because of these changes, the hospital had 1,399 new patients in 2014 and they're projecting to have 1,500 new patients for 2015. They've also seen significant growth in all areas and are $500,000 more profitable than last year. They've also started cash flowing on their own and the $1.5 million borrowed from the City of Neillsville hasn't been touched.
Looking to the future, MMC hopes to continue new collaborations. An example given was the collaboration between MMC and Marshfield Clinic in terms of oncology services. They're also looking to bring broadband to Clark County, started a mental health program, created a safety council and much more. MMC is always looking for feedback and community support as the changes made, and being made as they move forward, is due to the communities' advice and support.
