Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports at their meeting last week.The committee heard the report from the Historic Preservation Commission held on Wednesday, October 21st. The historic calendars have been placed around the city and are selling, they discussed the Christmas Tour of Homes, they discussed the historic home tour brochure and they reviewed a Certificate of Appropriateness application form.
The council heard the report from a Heritage Days Committee meeting held on Thursday, October 22nd. They welcomed their new member, discussed upgrades to next year's event, discussed sponsorship opportunities and discussed the 2016 Heritage Days event in general.
Finally, the council heard the report from the Connect Communities meeting held on October 26th. They discussed various educational opportunities, discussed having a student liaison, discussed creating a social media ambassador program, discussed a commercial building inventory and discussed a Christmas marketing effort.
