Man Sentenced for Stealing a Car from Black River Falls

-A car thief who ended up back in a Jackson County Prison not even 24 hours after he was released from their for stealing a vehicle appeared in court on Monday.According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, 21-year-old Andrew Bae of Garden City, New York stole a vehicle in Black River Falls and led the authorities on a high speed chase morning. Bae reached speeds of 100 miles per hour. He was also accused of driving through construction zones with workers present on I-94. The chase eventually ended near Tomah after the car Bae had stolen ended up with two flat tires. Just prior to this chase, Bae had been released from the Jackson County Jail after he had been arrested for a car theft out of Minnesota.
Bae was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, resisting or obstructing an officer, drive or operate a vehicle without consent-abandon a vehicle and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
