Owen-Withee School Board Hears District Testing Schedule

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard about the district's testing schedule at their meeting last week.District Administrator Bob Houts shared a document with the Board provided by Morgan Mueller, District Assessment Coordinator, regarding this year's testing schedule. The majority of testing, the Forward Exam for grades 3-8, the ACT Aspire for grades 9 and 10 and the ACT + Writing and WorkKeys for grade 11, will be given in the March-May time frame.
Also, a discussion on the topic of granting high school Physical Education credits for athletes who participate in interscholastic sports began. State law allows for this practice, but it requires a district policy, which Owen-Withee does not have at this time. The discussion on the topic will continue.
Finally, the board heard an update on the district's facilities from CESA 10. A report that was started back in the summer is almost complete. CESA 10 will have it ready for the November meeting.
