Finance Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports at their recent meeting.The council heard the Finance Committee report from October 8th. The Library budget stayed the same at $117,101 for 2016. The Recreation Department's budget decreased slightly to $67,045 for 2016 compared to 2015's $67,271. Economic Development's budget increased from 2015's $25,050 to 2016's $31,433 which was due to the new Connect Communities Program.
The Clerk-Treasurer's budget increased slightly from 2015's $63,333 to 2016's $64,777, the City Hall budget increased slightly from 2015's $37,479 to 2016's $37,986 and the Administration budget decreased from 2015's $884,720 to 2016's $883,865. They also heard the Finance Committee report from October 12th. At this meeting, they discussed the rollover of the general fund and where items were cut to balance the budget. Mayor Steve Mabie stated that they were able to balance the budget without raising taxes.
