Neillsville Finance Committee Report

The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports at their recent meeting.The council heard the finance committee report from October 6th. The 2016 Cemetery budget was discussed coming to $69,878 for 2016. That was a slight increase over 2015's $64,428 and that increase was mainly found in the repairs and maintenance line of the budget. The Parks budget was also presented. Again, there was a slight increase from 2015's $57,498 to 2016's $59,898. That was also mainly due to an increase in the repairs and maintenance line of the budget.
The Public Works Department saw an increase in their budget as well. For 2016, the department has a budget of $906,057 compared to $887,160 in 2015. Some of the lines with the biggest increases include the machinery and equipment operations, street maintenance, refuse and garbage collection, public buildings and street construction.
The 2016 proposed budget for Street Projects came to $111,150, the Airport budget increased slightly to $25,503, the Airport Outlay budget remained the same at $5,000, the Net Taxi Service place on the City Levy came to $69,755, the Beautification Committee remained the same at $1,700, the Historic Preservation remained the same at $1,900 and the Heritage Days Committee stayed the same at $1,500.
