Hewitt Woman Taken to Hospital After Two-Vehicle Crash

A Hewitt woman was taken to the Marshfield Medical Center Tuesday night after a two-vehicle crash.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a 29-year-old Marshfield woman was driving north on Highway 73 when she swerved to miss a deer.
She then hit an SUV being driven by a 39-year-old Nekoosa woman. The drivers of both vehicles were taken to the hospital by ambulance for minor injuries as they were both wearing seatbelts.
The passenger in the car, a 21-year-old woman from Hewitt, was taken to the hospital by helicopter as she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the car did receive multiple citations for the accident.
