Budget Meetings in the City of Neillsville

-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports at their recent meeting.The council heard the Finance Committee reports from October 5th, 6th, 8th and 12th. From the meeting on the 5th, the council heard the Police Department's budget. The proposed budget for 2016 is $123,397 which is a large increase from 2015's $70,977. The main reason behind the big jump is because of the purchase of a new vehicle in 2016.
They also heard the budget for the Neillsville Fire Department. The department proposed a budget of $227,314 for 2016 which is a slight increase of $100 compared to last year's budget. Along with that, the committee heard the budget for the Fire Hall which had a slight increase from 2016's $4,415 compared to 2015's $4,376.
The committee finished out the meeting by hearing the Ambulance Service budget which had a slight increase from 2016's $13,544 compared to 2015's $13,423. There was a slight increase with the city attorney budget as well from 2016's $28,225 compared to 2015's $27,850.
