-Clark County students had the opportunity to tour some Clark County businesses on Wednesday as part of the Kick Start Your Career Bus Tour. The tour was put on by the Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau's Workforce Council. Students started their day at the Loyal American Legion where they picked a bus that would take them to a specific area to tour different businesses.
Students had the choice of going to Canadian American Homes, Parrett Windows and Meyer Manufacturing in Dorchester; Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center and the Owen Fire Department in the Owen-Withee area; Industrial Fabricators Inc., Wisconsin Bench and Thorp Equipment Inc. in Thorp; Malm's Rolling Acres and Clark Electric Cooperative in the Greenwood/Loyal area; and Cummins Filtration, OEM Fabricators and Mayville Engineering Company here in Neillsville.
The tours helped show the students what kind of jobs are available right here in Clark County's businesses and encourage them to stay in the area or come back home to work and live where they grew up.
