Neillsville Police Officer Assigned to County CART Team
Tuesday, October 13th, 2015 -- 9:24 AM
-The Neillsville Police Department has assigned an officer to Clark County's CART team.CART is a multi-jurisdictional team designed to investigate missing, endangered, and abducted children in Clark County. The team is made up of trained and experienced officers from various jurisdictions that are skilled in searching for and investigating missing children. CART is designed to bring many resources to the problem in an organized and efficient manner when time is of the essence.
CART is essential to have because having valuable resources immediately available and active as soon as possible after a child is reported missing is vital because most children are killed within 24 hours of abduction.
Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann believes assigning an investigator to the CART team multiplies the effectiveness of the team and helps accomplish the goal of protecting the children of Clark County so he assigned Detective Jeff Pokallus to the Clark County Child Abduction Response Team.
