Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting, Airport, Heritage Days and Fire Hall

-The Neillsville City Council heard the various committee reports held in September at their recent meeting.The council heard the report from the Airport Commission meeting held on September 17th. They heard about the setback with the improvement to the Neillsville runway due to the drainage issues. Some of the work needing to be done to correct those issues will cost $135,000 with the city's portion at 5%. They also met with a member of the Bureau of Aeronautics and went over some concerns they identified. They also approved the charge for agricultural farming land on the airport and made minor changes to the budget.
They also heard the Heritage Days Committee reports from September 17th and 21st. They heard updates on Heritage Days 2016 and the Miss Neillsville contest. They approved the Heritage Days 2016 budget at $1,500 and pottery for next year's event will be ordered. Finally, they heard the report from the Fire Hall Board. The 2016 budget of $12,650 was approved and the Smokey Bear sign is still coming.
