Starting Sunday, Powerball Will Be Changing

Starting October 4, Powerball will be changing. Powerball will continue to deliver big jackpots, but the overall odds of winning a prize will improve.There will also be a big increase in the game's third prize level, and players have a chance
to multiply most winnings by up to 10 times when the jackpot is $150 million or less.
New Features:
The number of balls for choosing the red Powerball declines to 26 (currently 35)
The third prize level increases from $10,000 to $50,000 for matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball
Choose five numbers between 1-69 (currently 1-59)
The Power Play option increases from 5x to 10x for an extra $1 per play when the jackpot is $150 million or less (excludes jackpot and Match 5)
How to Play
1. Plays still cost $2 each
2. Tickets must be purchased by 9:00 p.m. to be included in the Wednesday or Saturday night drawing
3. Choose five numbers between 1-69 and one Powerball number between 1-26
4. Sign your ticket and check it as soon as possible to avoid missing out on any prize you may have won.
