Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting, Historic Preservation

-The Neillsville City Council heard the various committee reports held the past couple weeks at their meeting last week.They heard the Historic Preservation Commission Report held on September 9th. The commission will provide wording for a historical marker that will be placed at the Listeman Arboretum regarding the areas strong Mormon heritage. They also assigned photos and note cards for the 2016 Historic Calendar.
The commission discussed their 2016 budget. They proposed a budget of $1,900 be sent to the Finance Committee. They also discussed a Request for Certificate of Appropriateness form, the 2015 Christmas Homes Tour and a map of the Historic Walking Tour Route.
The council also heard a report from the TIF District #2 Joint Review Board held on Monday, September 14th. This was the meeting that sent the resolution to the Common Council about labeling that district as distressed.
