Neillsville School Board Hears Adminsitrator's Report

The board heard District Administrator John Gaier's report.Gaier reported on two thank you notes, a school tour for the class of 1975, a required increase in meal pricing, the advocacy agenda for the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance, a Capital Newspaper article regarding teacher retention, an Associated Press article regarding private school vouchers and a Clark County Press article on the district's tax levy.
He also reported on a New York Times article regarding an incident at a private school, a WASDA announcement naming its committee chairpersons, an invitation to the NACC Business After 5, three Focus articles, a public hearing notice on the city's TIF District Plan, traffic flow around the school building and the Achievement Gap Reduction Program.
Finally, he mentioned a press release regarding the selection of the state superintendent of public instruction, a bill allowing school board members to serve as volunteer coaches and a bill proposing changes to the Wisconsin Retirement System.
