Wisconsin State Patrol Awards Ceremony

The Wisconsin State Patrol's 2015 awards ceremony will pay special tribute to Trooper Trevor Casper of Kiel, who died in an exchange of gunfire with a robbery and murder suspect in March, and three other State Patrol troopers, Donald Pederson of Green Lake, Gary Powless of Black River Falls and Deborah McMenamin of Bloomer, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The families of the fallen troopers are expected to attend.In addition, agencies and organizations that assisted the State Patrol after Trooper Casper's tragic death will be recognized. Twenty-eight members of the State Patrol also will be honored for their courageous actions and exceptional service.
The ceremony is being held Monday, September 28th beginning at 1pm at the Madison Marriott West in Middleton. This year's award recipients live in Fond du Lac, Milwaukee, Neenah, Appleton, Oshkosh, Madison, Eleva, Tomah, Wisconsin Dells, Baraboo, Durand, Sullivan, Sparta, Cambridge, Oak Creek, Green Bay, Tomahawk, Park Falls, Eau Claire, and Merrill.
