Public Appearances at Neillsville City Council Meeting
Saturday, September 26th, 2015 -- 8:30 AM
The Neillsville City Council heard some concerns from a couple people that made an appearance at their meeting on Tuesday. The first man requested that a stop sign be put up at an intersection near the hospital due to people speeding down their road. The man and his wife are concerned because many elderly people walk through there and kids walk that way while heading to a nearby park.
The 2nd issue he brought up was if he could hang a banner on the gazebo in support of the Neillsville Police Department. He said in this day and age, many people seem to be against law enforcement and he'd like people to know that Neillsville supports its police department.
Another woman present talked about a vicious dog that lives next door to her elderly aunt. She said that something needs to be done about that animal.
Finally, during the communications portion of the meeting, one council member brought up the approach of the Emerald Ash Borer and the council heard that Charter's rates are going up.
