Loyal School Board Approves three policy changes

The Loyal School Board approved three policy changes at their meeting on Wednesday.For the first policy, the consequences in the alcohol/drug policy were stiffened. Next, all seniors who graduate with a 4.0 or greater will receive "honors" recognition even if they are outside the top 10% in class rank. Finally, the graduation requirements were changed to reflect the new Civics test requirement from the state.
The board is also considering the implementation of a new social media delivery system to more effectively communicate with parents/community members and the annual salary increases were approved for the non-union support staff and administration.
Finally, Becki Bogdonovich was approved as the new part-time HS Office Assistant, Angela Piper was approved as the new 2nd grade teacher.
The district's annual meeting went well. They approved a levy of 1.71 million which will lead to a mill rate of approximately 9.4
