Clark County 2014 Audit Report
Saturday, August 29th, 2015 -- 11:30 AM
The Clark County Board of Supervisors heard two reports and a presentation to begin their meeting on Thursday of last week. One of the reports was the 2014 Audit Report for Clark County. In all, the auditor said the report went well. The county has $14 million in the General Fund, which was up from $11 million the previous year. He also mentioned that the delinquent taxes went down for the year. It wasn't by much, but it did decrease to $588,000. He also made it clear that not all of that $14 million is actually money that can be used, but the fund balance is in good shape.
A couple other items he mentioned include the money in the Highway Department, just over a $1 million, having a good number in regards to insurance claims, but he recommended not going over, and the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center. He stated that the facility has a negative balance and it continues to get higher. He has mentioned doing something with the facility in the past, but at this meeting he said something needs to be done now. It's a high priority.
