Marshfield Woman Sentenced for Biting Her Child

-A Marshfield woman was sentenced in Wood County Court on Wednesday for biting her child.According to court records, Amanda Weinfurtner and her child got into an argument about what the child would wear to school back in May. Weinfurtner became upset because the child didn't want to wear the clothes she had picked out. In her frustration, Weinfurtner admitted that she bit the child on the upper arm, causing the child to cry.
Weinfurtner was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, battery and disorderly conduct. She was sentenced to 2 years' probation and 5 days in jail. She must also receive any counseling deemed necessary and she owes the courts $352.
