Clark County Board of Supervisors Still at an Impasse in Regards to Wage Schedule and Class and Comp Study

Thursday, August 27th, 2015 -- 9:21 AM

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors continues to be at an impasse in regards to the county's Classification and Compensation Study.

After two studies, with two different companies, a new wage schedule and class and comp study was created to help with an accurate description of jobs and compensations rates. Many county employees feel that the pay scale and wage schedule is unfair and outdated.

The county board has a multitude of concerns with this. It was tabled at the previous meeting, giving the Personnel Department more time to answer some of those concerns. The long list of concerns include making sure all compensation is fair, lumping job titles, lower level employees not being appreciated and more.

After hearing a presentation, the board decided to send the resolution excepting the study and wage schedule back to the Personnel Committee in order to continue working on the issues.
