Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work has been done in the city including equipment maintenance, mowing grass, watering flowers, cleaning the parks and cemetery, cleaning trails, hauling brush and compost, street sweeping, street lighting and more.
They also repaired the monitoring well at the landfill, supported the sewer plant raising manholes on 21st Street and trimmed some low hanging branches above the sidewalks on Hewett Street. The Water Department is going to be flushing water mains starting September 8th and that's expected to last for 2 weeks.
It was also mentioned that the airport project is moving slowly and they're trying to correct drainage issues under the runway and taxiway. The department also replaced some sidewalk sections by the Grand Avenue Bridge and Hewett Street and they repaired a storm sewer inlet that was failing on East 7th Street. They did this to prevent tripping hazards.
