80-Year-Old Marshfield Man Recovering After Being Hit by a Car

-An 80-year-old Marshfield man was hospitalized after being hit by a car on Friday.According to authorities, around 2pm on Friday Gerald Chesmore was walking in the crosswalk of Upham Street, crossing to Fig Avenue, when he was hit and trapped under a car. A man assisted with the incident and used a floor jack to get the car off Chesmore.
Chesmore was taken to the hospital and is in fair condition. The driver of the vehicle, 78-year-old Marjorie Weichelt was cited for inattentive driving. She said she didn't see Chesmore.
