Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves the Sale of County Land
Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 -- 11:31 AM
-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved the sale of some county land at their meeting on Thursday of last week.In one instance, the board approved selling some land to a resident whose property is located next to the land in question. The land the resident lives on has been in his family for years and recently, while doing some work, he discovered that a garage on his property is actually on county land slightly. Plus, this would put a septic tank he wants to put in on county land as well.
The county agreed to sell him a small portion of land, .22 acres, and remove it from the County Forest Crop Law. The county is selling it to him for $700 plus survey costs in the amount of $400. A similar resolution was approved, with the board approving to sell .239 acres and .108 acres of land to two private residents because their property is on county land slightly. The board is selling that land for $1,266 and $742 respectively.
