Red Cross Blood Drive in Neillsville Collects 99 Pints of Life Saving Blood

-The Red Cross Blood Drive held in Neillsville at the American Legion on August 17th succeeded in collecting 99 pints of life saving blood.Appreciation is extended to the many caring donors and volunteers that made that happen. The blood collected could help save the lives of over 297 patients in need. Of those giving blood several donors have reached totals in the gallons amount. 16 gallons was given by Mike Gleisner, 12 gallons by Jenny Kronberger, 8 by Marilynn Slezak, Richard Jensen gave 6, Jeff Kittel gave 4 and Dona Wagner gave 2. Steve Deavers was a first time blood donor.
Employees of the American Legion helped the day run smoothly. The Listeman Foundation funded the canteen, the Clark County Dairy Promotion Committee provided dairy products, the Red Cross provided juice and snacks and A&W provided root beer.
