Tuesday, August 25th, 2015 -- 9:33 AM
-The Greenwood City Council made a decision regarding curb and gutter replacement. There was some dispute at the city's meeting last month. Residents didn't feel they should be on the hook for the cost of replacement if it was being done for aesthetic purposes. The council decided at their meeting last week that residents will not be charged for replacing curb & gutter and apron.
They also approved the updated Emergency Response Plan and the police department will be creating a Facebook page. They approved an agreement with the Greenwood Area Fire District and approved the increase in material costs. Finally, for use of the brush truck the charge will be $40.00 per dump during working hours and $75.00 per dump after hours, weekends and holidays and there will be no call out.
