Employment Matters at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting last week.The board approved the resignation of Dawn Weiers from a teaching assistant position, Carole Hohenstein from an administrative secretary position, Melissa Strangfeld from the middle school track coaching position and Nate Ehlen from the head boys' basketball coaching position.
The board approved the hiring of Tia Opelt for the head volleyball coaching position, Tabitha Huth for the J.V. volleyball coaching position, Susan Conner as a co-coach for C-team volleyball and Myanna Lansing as a co-coach for C-team volleyball. They also approved a Memorandum of Understanding between the School District of Neillsville and Ashley Noack and the initial adoption of Policy IKE.
Finally, the board heard an administration report from Neillsville District Administrator John Gaier. He reported on the upcoming 2015 Mingle event, the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance Annual Convention, the proposed budget for the 2015-2016 school year and posting board meeting documents on the school website. He also offered an update about employment changes, an update on the varsity softball field, an email regarding CESA 10 natural gas purchases, two Focus articles, a WASB update, and the Wisconsin Public Education Network Summer Summit.
