Fall Hunting Seasons to Open in September

A number of hunting and fishing seasons will open in September, and hunters are encouraged to scout early and check out this year's rules and regulations to ensure a safe and successful year in the field.On September 1, dove and early Canada goose seasons begin. Bear hunting starts on September 9. And on September 12, permit holders can hunt for archery and crossbow deer, fall turkey, ruffed grouse, cottontail rabbit, and gray and fox squirrel. A special youth waterfowl hunt takes place on September 19-20.
Meanwhile, bird hunters in Wisconsin can now find every managed dove field on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources land with ease through the Fields & Forest Lands Interactive Gamebird Hunting Tool.
