CDC Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the CDC Report at their meeting last week.It was reported that the Dollar General has opened and has been consistently busy. The DRC prepared for the 3rd Annual Car Show last Saturday with Vendors in the Mill Pond Park from 8am to 4pm. The burnout contest was at 5pm. September 12th is the Battle of the Bands event.
Also, Louks has responded that things are going well. There are 3 parties interested in the OMI Building. Tim Swiggum will be attending his final class for the International Economic Development Council in Baltimore, MD in September. He thanked the Council for their monetary support. He has applied for a scholarship but will not find out if he is awarded it until after completion of the class.
