Names of Individuals Involved in Wood County Shooting Released

-The names of the two individuals involved in the shooting in Wood County have been released.According to the Wood County Sheriff's Department, they responded to a report that two people had been shot and injured at a residence in the Town of Saratoga.
A preliminary investigation shows that 17-year-old Miguel Oertel arrived at a home on Church Avenue with a shotgun. After a brief disturbance, Oertel shot 47-year-old Theresa Coates and then turned the gun on himself. Coates was pronounced dead at the hospital and Oertel is in critical, but stable condition. He's under guard at the hospital.
The Wood County Sheriff's Department continues to treat this incident as a homicide investigation and they've concluded that the individuals knew each other and there is not a continued threat to the community.
