Educational Standards and More at Neillsville School Board Meeting
Tuesday, August 18th, 2015 -- 10:45 AM
-The Neillsville School Board approved several items in preparation for the upcoming school year at their meeting on Monday.First, the board made public the district's educational standards. This was something added to this year's budget. School districts must publicly release the standards they've adopted and use in the school district. All of Neillsville's curricula are tied to a specific standard.
The board also approved a nursing contract for the next school year. Neillsville has their contract with Memorial Medical Center. The nurse they have used in the past no longer works at MMC, so the hospital has put out an offer for the position. The nurse for the district works 5.5 hours per day students are in school. She's paid $29.50 an hour which is a $.50 raise compared to last year.
