Beginning of School Year Notices from Neillsville School District and 1st Day of School and Annual Meeting Dates

-The School District of Neillsville has provided some beginning of the school year notices for residents with children in the community.First, upon request, the School District of Neillsville is required to evaluate a child for eligibility for special education services. A request for evaluation is known as a referral and a referral may be made by contacting Tonia Anderson.
Second, with regards to student records, the building principal shall have the primary responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality of all student records kept at the school. All requests for inspection or for transfer should be directed to the principal. Records include progress records, behavioral records and directory information. Finally, the Neillsville School District would like to inform staff, students, parents and the public of the district's Indoor Environmental Quality Management Plan, which was developed in 2012, and the district's Asbestos Management Plan.
And just a reminder, the first day of school for Neillsville students is Tuesday, September 1st and the district's annual meeting is being held next Monday, August 24th at 7pm in the multi-media room. The annual meeting is a great way for Neillsville residents to hear what's happening in the district and voice any concerns or compliments they may have.
