The Highground Receives Grant for "Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans"

-The MDRT Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to The Highground to provide funding for the upcoming "Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans" in July 2016.Through its global grants, the MDRT Foundation is committed to building stronger families and communities around the globe. This year, the MDRT Foundation will award nearly $1 million in MDRT member-endorsed grants to more than 100 charitable organizations worldwide. Representing the MDRT Foundation, Julie McNeely, of McNeely Financial Services, Inc. in Spencer, presented this grant to The Highground.
Volunteer General Manager, Kirk Rodman explained that in July, 2016 this wonderful grant is the foundation for building a week of activities and remembrances for veterans, their family/friends and the general public to welcome the veterans home. This celebration week will include daily evening ceremonies; The Wall of Remembrance; a Family Day of activities; Being-There-Reaching-Out display; each day will have a different theme or topic including PTSD information and resources. More details will come as events are confirmed by the park.
