FFA Announces Finalists in Proficiency Award

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The National FFA Organization has announced the Wisconsin students that will compete as Proficiency Award finalists at this year's national convention.Some local finalists include Ashley Zimmerman of Spencer in Agricultural Education, Tabitha Weister of Marshfield in Emerging Agricultural Technology and Kenny Pettit of Granton in Forest Management. Meanwhile, many chapters will be honored during the convention. The Thorp FFA was one of two chapters named as a finalist for the Models of Innovations.
Some local FFA programs being recognized as 3 Star Rated Chapters include Granton, Owen-Withee, Stanley Boyd, Stratford and Thorp. Spencer will be earning a 2 Star Rating. The National FFA Convention will be held this fall in Louisville, Kentucky.
