Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including equipment maintenance, mowing grass, watering flowers, picking up branches, hauling brush and compost, work on street lighting, open and clean storm drains, street sweeping and more.
They've also completed painting the lines in the city and they've changed the handicapped parking spots to blue. The street patching is almost complete for the year and they also worked on Birch Street in the cemetery. They dug up the old base, constructed a new base and replaced two culverts.
They also worked at the sewer plant and constructed a concrete slab for the chemical feed building. They also removed sidewalk sections to place a ramp going into the building. Finally, the pre-conference meeting at the airport was attended in preparation for the runway resurfacing project.
