Granton School Board Approve Employment Matters

-The Granton School Board approved employment matters at their meeting on Monday.The school board approved the resignations of Joanne Wesenberg and Karen Tyler as Food Service and Mac Bowen as the tech ed. teacher. They also approved the hiring of Amanda Esser as a 2nd grade teacher and Matthew Hessel as a middle school teacher. Finally, a contract for the Athletic Director was approved for Angela Kolpanen, support staff contracts were approved and administrative contracts were approved.
Some other items brought up by the board included changes to the Athletic Code, but they were tabled to a later date for further discussion. They also discussed changes to the Response to Intervention Handbook and the Positive Behavior Intervention Handbook.
Finally, Kay Heiting, school district librarian, presented an update on the Community Library, the Community Library contract was reviewed and no changes were offered, the Tower Lease agreement with Country Wireless was reviewed and no changes were made and the school district's academic standards were reviewed with no action taken.
