-Wallboard distribution trucks are an integral part of the safe and efficient delivery of wallboard and other materials to construction job sites.A very special Western Star vehicle recently raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for breast cancer research. The distinctive pink-and-white Western Star wallboard truck was auctioned off at the Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry and Intex Expo in Long Beach, Calif. A stunning bid from Gypsum Management and Supply, Inc. (GMS) of $500,000 produced more than $200,000 of direct support to the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation of Marshfield.
The "Reaching for a Cure" fundraiser was a collaboration between V&H Heavy Trucks, a Western Star dealer, and FASCAN International of Baltimore, the U.S. distributor of Fassi articulating cranes. The winning bid was made by GMS, an Atlanta-based distributor of construction supplies, which will use it to deliver drywall.
