Tuesday, August 11th, 2015 -- 9:23 AM
-In an effort to save lives and prevent injuries, the Neillsville Police Department will join law enforcement agencies from all over Wisconsin in the annual "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign from August 21st to September 7th.The goal is not to arrest more drunken drivers, but to deter drunken driving so we can reach zero preventable traffic deaths. Last year, there were 162 fatalities in alcohol-related crashes.
The Neillsville Police Department urges you to follow these common sense suggestions including choose a sober designated driver before you start drinking, if you feel buzzed, you are likely over the .08 BAC limit and should not drive, and take a taxi or ask a sober friend to drive you home.
