American Bald Eagle License Plates Available
Sunday, August 9th, 2015 -- 10:09 AM
Wisconsin motorists who want to support endangered resources and show their national pride can apply for the new American Bald Eagle license plate. The plate shows an eagle with wings and talons extended about to grab something out of the water. The design stems from a contest in which 2,000 people submitted eagle photos to the Wisconsin DNR.
Since the wolf plate first became available 20 years ago, over 23,000 Endangered Resources plates have been issued in Wisconsin including the limited-edition badger plate that is being phased out.
Those who purchase an Endangered Resources plate pay the standard vehicle registration fee along with an annual $25 donation that goes to the DNR's Endangered Resources Fund
