Man Involved in Jackson County Home Invasion Sentenced

-An individual involved in a home invasion and armed robbery that occurred in December of last year in Jackson County was sentenced for the crime on Thursday.According to the Merrillan Police Department, James Hill and another boy, Nathaniel Gunderson, went to a house on Hammond Street in Merrillan holding a pistol and demanded money and drugs. Police later arrested Hill and Gunderson and several charges were filed against them.
Earlier this year, Hill entered a guilty plea to a charge of armed robbery and a charge of theft of moveable property was dismissed and read in. In the end, the judge sentenced Hill to 5 years in prison and 7 years of extended supervision. Gunderson was already sentenced for his part in the crime.
