Black River Falls Police Department Arrests Individuals Involved in Robbery of Elderly Couple

-The Black River Falls Police Department have captured the two individuals accused of stealing from an elderly couple in the parking lot of the Black River Falls Wal-Mart.An elderly couple, both 88-years-old, was putting groceries in their car when a man came up and stole the woman's purse. He then ran, got into a waiting vehicle and fled the scene. The authorities reviewed security footage and named John Rose and Rebecca Davis as suspects.
On Saturday, August 1st, authorities responded to a domestic disturbance where they encountered Rose. He fled into a wooded area, but was found after a brief search. When he was questioned by authorities, he admitted to taking the purse in order to support his heroin addiction. He claims he never would have taken the purse if not for the drugs.
Rebecca Davis was also contacted and she was responsible for returning the purse and it appears that only the cash was removed. Rose and Davis are awaiting charges for this incident.
