Tuesday, August 4th, 2015 -- 10:56 AM

-The Jackson County Sheriff's Department believes that the missing inmate may have stolen a car.

On August 2nd, the department received a call from the Black River Correctional Center that an inmate had escaped. Kaden Dumholt escaped the prison sometime between 9pm and 10:45. He's a white male, 20-year-old, 5'10" and about 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt and green pants. He was seen in the area of the Ho-Chunk Nation Casino on Highway 54 East of Black River Falls.

To make matters more complicated, the department received a report of a stolen vehicle from the area that Dumhlot was searched for. The vehicle is a 96 Chevy Lumina, gray in color with a license plate reading 273VUG.

If you have any information about this incident that could lead to Dumholt's capture, please contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. Dumholt was in prison for operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent and felony fleeing. He also had a charge of obstructing an officer dismissed and read in.
