Green Grove Treasurer Accused of Theft and Misconduct in Office

-The Town Treasurer of Green Grove is being investigated for theft and misconduct in office.On April 15th, the Clark County Sheriff's Office received a complaint from the Town of Green Grove Chairman. The Town Chairman reported that there were some irregularities with the Town's finances.
The township had an audit done on their finances and discovered that about $24,600.00 was missing from the books since 2013. The Town Treasurer, 75-year-old Sandra Fritz, left a voice mail message for the Town Clerk asking she not report the missing money and that she would pay it back.
Ms. Fritz admitted to taking the money from a savings account without the Town Board approval and using it for living expenses at her residence. She indicated she made at least 17 cash withdraws from the Town's savings account. Charges of Theft and Misconduct in Public Office have been referred to the District Attorney's Office.
