Clark County Fairest of the Fair Contestants, Final Candidate Cassie Pettit
Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 -- 10:55 AM
-Clark County has four contestants running for Fairest of the Fair this year. The new candidates will replace the outgoing court of Kelsey Rueth as Fairest of the Fair, Katarina Nemitz as 1st attendant and Shania Gorton as 2nd attendant.
The final candidate I spoke with was Cassie Pettit of Chili and she's sponsored by Nasonville Dairy. Cassie explained why she's running for Fairest of the Fair.
"I think it will present me with great opportunities with the job I want to go into. I want to become something along the lines of a vet tech. I'm not exactly sure because I haven't picked out a school yet. I don't know where I want to go or what I want to do! But, I think it will help me be outgoing and meet new people.
She also told me what she's looking forward to in this process of running and if she's selected.
"I'm really looking forward to meeting all the new people and seeing different things that I can bring back to my community that I can do with my community."
The Fairest of the Fair Coronation is being held Wednesday, August 5th at 7:30pm at the Clark County Fairgrounds. The event is open to the public with refreshments to follow. And we'll have a special live interview with all the candidates on 107.5 WCCN on that Wednesday, around 4pm.
