Spencer Woman Found Guilty in Murder-for-Hire Plot

Monday, July 27th, 2015 -- 12:46 PM

-A Spencer woman accused of trying to hire someone to kill two people entered a plea to the charges against her in Clark County Court.

According to the Clark County Sheriff's Department, Shari Klimmer and Porscha Rizzi tried to hire someone to kill the fathers of Rizzi's two children. According to testimony from detectives and investigators with the Clark County Sheriff's Department, both Klimmer and Rizzi approached two different individuals about trying to kill the fathers of Rizzi's two children. The women provided photos, addresses and vehicle descriptions of the two men. The two individuals they approached came forward because they said the women seemed very serious and were afraid someone would get hurt.

During the plea hearing, it was stated that a plea agreement had been reached between the district attorney and defense attorney. Rizzi entered a no contest plea, and was found guilty of, one count of 1st degree intentional homicide. The 2nd count was dismissed and read in as was a charge of violate an order which she received after she mailed some items for her children to her grandmother, who then gave the items to the children. This act broke a condition of her bond and resulted in charges against her and her grandmother.

A sentencing date for Rizzi was scheduled for September 23rd. Her mother, Shari Klimmer had her plea and sentencing date changed from last week, Wednesday the 22nd, to August 24th. Finally, Rizzi's grandmother, Sharon Klimmer, will be in court on August 28th to try and have the charge against her dismissed.
