June Egg Production Report

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) - Wisconsin Egg production during June was 98 million eggs, down nine percent from last month and 13 percent lower compared to 2014.The latest USDA Chickens and Egg Summary noted that the average number of all layers on hand throughout the country was 4.15 million, down nine percent from last month, 14 percent lower from last year, and the lowest inventory in 15 years.
Eggs per 100 layers for the month of June were 2,361, down one percent from last month, but up one percent from last year.
