CDA Report at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council heard the CDA Report at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.The Dollar General will possibly change ownership by July 20th. Hiring may begin before the 27th. The City will try to plan a ribbon cutting ceremony. The closing documents are ready for signature by the City for the sale to Master Packaging and David Taylor and Louks has been in touch and says the money is coming soon.
Mary Ellen Hughes asked to remind the council that the 100th Anniversary of the Owen Public Library and the Retirement of Librarian Director Shirley Lehr will be celebrated on July 29th at the Owen Public Library. Council members and the public are encouraged to participate in the "100 Minutes of Reading" Event on July 29th. Each person would read for 1 minute.
