Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting, Heritage Days and Economic Development

-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports from various committee meetings held recently.The council heard about the final preparations made before Neillsville's Heritage Days including the theme, a bake sale, posters, set-up, a queen update, the golf outing and more.
They also heard a report from the Commission on Economic Development. This meeting was the one where the Connect Communities Program was discussed in more detail. A resident also introduced her self during the meeting. She recently moved here, but she has a lot of experience writing grants and is looking to get involved in various community initiatives. They also heard a brief presentation about the Mayville Engineering Corporation from the Plant Manager.
A couple other items discussed during the council meeting included the success of Heritage Days this year and the city's budget looks good except for a couple areas in the Public Works Department.
