Thursday, July 23rd, 2015 -- 8:06 AM
-The Owen City Council heard an update on the Parks and Recreation Committee meeting held on June 24th.An update was given by Tim Swiggum regarding the progress made on the Clark County Outdoor Recreation Plan. The city list is due by the end of December 2015. The food stand improvements were completed in time for the fair and there was no new information on the Mill Pond railroad bridge.
The horse shoe pits will stay where they are for this year, but they plan to move them to the south side of the Master Package building. The taverns may use them or if they wish may build their own pits north of 5th street on grassy lot. Future possibilities for Crowley Park were discussed such as basketball hoops, baseball infield for practices and a disc golf course.
