Administrators' Reports (District) at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators' Reports at their meeting on Monday of last week.District Administrator Bob Houts presented to the board a list of items that the OWEA would like to sit down and discuss. Because the items are outside the scope of legal topics of negotiations, the Board will sit down with OWEA representatives outside the negotiations process to discuss.
Also, Mr. Engel, Lori McGuire and Autumn Gerber will be attending the FFA Washington Leadership Conference in Washington DC the week of July 20th?24th and estimates for the replacement of the gym bleachers have been received from two companies. One quote is for $87,500 and the other is for $99,600.
Heidi Bower has submitted her letter of retirement, effective September 3rd. As the letter came in too late for the agenda, approval of the retirement will be at the August Board Meeting. And finally, the FFA Alumni organization will host a fundraiser at the Munson Bridge Winery on Friday, July 24th from 6:00pm?10:00 PM. The event, known as "Cow, Plows and Wine" will include live and silent auctions, raffles and music and the board unanimously approved hiring Julie Van Ark as Jr/Sr. High Principal on a 215 day contract for $75,000 per year.
