Felton also inquired why the fire department did not sound their sirens in the parade and also how much it cost the City to use the County squad car for the fair weekend. Owen Police Chief Andrew Schade replied there was no cost to the City and Fire Chief Mark Renderman requested no sirens during the parade.
Also, Tim Swiggum reported that the Fair was a big success this year. The amusement rides fit just fine and next year they plan to bring two larger rides. Numerous compliments were heard on how pleased the community was with the Fair and amusement rides and events.
